OBJECTIVE

To promote the collective interests on all issues concerning its members and / or the Textile Industry.

FUNCTIONS

To assist and facilitate growth and development of the textile industry.
To work for furtherance and promotion of textile consumption in India and abroad.
To organize and mount exporters' delegations to overseas countries and assist inbound delegations from textile importing countries towards promoting Indian textile exports.
To collect, analyze, interpret and circulate statistics / information relating to the textile industry.
To assist in the advancement of information and knowledge on textile through Media Campaigns, Conventions, Seminars, Conferences, Exhibitions, Trade Fairs, Road Shows, etc.
To carry out and undertake Research & Development works relating to textiles
To represent to Governments (Central & State), local authorities, public bodies, etc regarding the collective interests of members and the textile industry in general.
Collaborate with Chambers of Commerce and other trade bodies in India and abroad towards promoting the interests of the textile industry.
To undertake projects for the benefit the public at large by way of Social Responsibility.
To publish newsletters, periodicals, leaflets, books in furtherance of documentation of events and dissemination of information pertaining to the activities of the Association and the textile industry.
Representing Members in Conciliation parleys with Trade Unions for redressal of grievances.
Advising Members on statutory compliance of labour and commercial legislations.

TAXATION

Coordinating with the Government to create a rational and conducive tax environment for the textile industry.
Providing advice on tax matters to members. Closely monitoring the Central as well as State Budgets.
Taking up issues like Income-Tax, GST, with the Central Government & state Government by regularly interacting with them.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY INITIATIVES

Undertaking social and community development programmes in the areas of welfare.
